Two ex-Sri Lanka officials sentenced to death over 2019 Easter bombings
Two former Sri Lankan officials have been sentenced to death for their role in the deadly Easter Sunday bombings of 2019, in which they were found to have neglected intelligence warnings about the impending attacks. Both men plan to appeal their sentences. The bombings killed over 260 people in coordinated attacks on churches and hotels.
