Renowned mountaineer Nirmal Purja killed in avalanche in Pakistan

Renowned mountaineer Nirmal Purja has been killed in an avalanche in Pakistan, according to his company. Purja became famous in 2019 for scaling all 14 of the world's highest peaks in just over six months, shattering the previous world record. He held British citizenship and had Nepali roots.
