Nirmal Purja killed in avalanche on Broad Peak aged 43
Nirmal Purja, the British-Nepali mountaineer celebrated in the Netflix documentary 14 Peaks: Nothing Is Impossible, died in an avalanche on Broad Peak in Pakistan on July 30. He was 43. A total of 10 people were killed in the tragedy, confirmed by his company Elite Expeditions.
