Frederiksen after Wieczysta–Lech: "I was sweating on the bench — players collapsed at the final whistle"

Niels Frederiksen, coach of Wieczysta Kraków, said the match against Lech Poznań was played in extreme heat, with players collapsing on the pitch at the final whistle. He noted he was drenched in sweat just sitting on the bench and described it as one of the most physically demanding matches he can recall. Victory was the priority, he said.
