Peru's ex-president Humala freed after 15-year money laundering conviction overturned

Former Peruvian president Ollanta Humala has been released from prison after a court overturned his 15-year sentence for money laundering, handed down in 2025. His wife was convicted alongside him in the same case. The overturning of the conviction resulted in his immediate release.
