Cloudflare report: typhoon, drone strike, earthquakes and a DNSSEC error caused global outages

Cloudflare has published a report detailing recent causes of internet outages around the world. The list includes a typhoon, two earthquakes, a national power failure, 13 government shutdowns timed to school exams, a fibre cut, drone damage to an AWS cloud region, and a botched DNSSEC key rollover that briefly made all .de websites unreachable. The report also found that Tanzania's deliberate election-day internet shutdown was almost indistinguishable in traffic data from the country's accidental power blackout.
