Polish tourism hits 5% of GDP — Poland becoming a destination of conscious choice
Foreign tourist arrivals to Poland are growing steadily, with the tourism sector now accounting for around 5% of GDP. Magdalena Krucz, president of the Polish Tourism Organisation, says Poland has evolved from an "unlikely" destination into a mature European one. Key draws include historical cities, unique cultural heritage, natural biodiversity and competitive food and hotel offerings.
