Kazakhstan in talks to refine Russian oil amid Russia's fuel shortage
Kazakhstan is in talks with Russia about processing Russian crude oil in Kazakh refineries, Reuters reported. Under the proposed arrangement, some of the refined fuel would supply Kazakhstan's domestic market while surpluses would be sent back to Russia, which is facing a growing fuel shortage. The discussions gained attention after a recent meeting between Vladimir Putin and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
