Italy suspends Schengen with Spain after Ceuta migrant crisis

Italy has temporarily suspended the Schengen arrangement with Spain following a surge in migrant crossings at Ceuta. Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni described scenes at the Spanish enclave as "shocking" and accused some EU countries of a "selfish" response to the crisis. Spain criticised the reactions of certain EU member states as unhelpful.
