Double graduation cohort floods universities — UG rector: we won't cut standards

University of Gdańsk rector Prof. Piotr Stepnowski says the university will not accept unlimited students despite the surge from a double graduation cohort — a result of an education system reform. He stressed that maintaining teaching standards requires stable funding close to the EU average. The double cohort phenomenon is putting pressure on admissions across Polish universities this year.
