Traffic jams stretch for kilometres on Vistula Spit as summer heat draws crowds to the beach

After a cold and rainy July, a warm and sunny weekend finally brought crowds to Poland's Baltic coast. Long queues of cars stretched for several kilometres on roads leading to resorts on the Vistula Spit. Local businesses and services are struggling to cope with the sudden surge of visitors.
