Two tankers attacked near Strait of Hormuz — engine room damaged on one vessel

Two tankers were attacked overnight near the coast of Oman, according to the UK Maritime Trade Operations agency (UKMTO). One of the vessels sustained damage to its engine room. The Strait of Hormuz area remains a critical and sensitive route for global oil transport.
