Russia launches massive overnight missile attack on Ukraine, alerts in Kyiv and eastern regions

Russia launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine overnight on 31 July–1 August. Air raid alerts were triggered across eastern and central regions, including the capital Kyiv, before 1:00 a.m. Polish time. Authorities urged residents to stay in shelters.
