Isaac Beacroft wins Commonwealth Games gold in 10,000m race walk

Australian teenager Isaac Beacroft claimed Commonwealth Games gold in the 10,000m race walk in Glasgow, surging on the final lap to hold off Kenya's Stephen Kihu who was just steps behind with 20 metres to go. Sarah Billings added a women's 800m bronze — Australia's first in that event in 36 years. It was a mixed day overall, however, as Nina Kennedy, Torrie Lewis and Lachie Kennedy all missed out on medals at Scotstoun Stadium.
