Body Worlds creator Gunther von Hagens dies at 81, donates body to science

Gunther von Hagens, who invented plastination — a method of preserving bodies by replacing natural fluids with polymers — died at the age of 81. The creator of the famous "Body Worlds" exhibitions donated his own body to science, consistent with his lifelong mission of popularising anatomy.
