Russians rush to sell Montenegro properties ahead of new visa rules

The number of properties listed for sale in Montenegro by Russian private sellers rose 10–15% year-on-year at the end of July, according to Russian newspaper Kommersant citing data from Prian. The spike is driven by a new rule taking effect on 1 November requiring Russians to hold a visa to stay in Montenegro. Previously, Russians could reside there without a visa, making the country a popular destination after 2022.
