Rare fossil reveals three-tier prehistoric food chain frozen in time

A fossil unearthed in Australia by amateur hunters has preserved a remarkable three-tier predatory chain: a pterosaur eaten by an ichthyosaur, which was in turn eaten by a pliosaur.
