Trump allies push to strip historic site protections to reshape Washington DC

A council packed with Trump allies is seeking to alter protections for historic sites in order to allow a sweeping remake of Washington DC in line with the president's vision. Representatives of Native American tribes on the federal Advisory Council on Historic Preservation describe the move as a "bait and switch."
