Tether posts $1.5 bn Q2 profit, adds 1,800 bitcoin to reserves

Tether, the world's largest stablecoin issuer, reported an operating profit of $1.5 billion for Q2. The company added 14 metric tons of gold and approximately 1,800 bitcoin to its reserves during the quarter. Despite the strong profit, the reserve buffer fell by half compared to the previous period.
