Khan accuses London police of bypassing procurement rules in £50m Palantir contract

Lawyers for London Mayor Sadiq Khan have accused the Metropolitan Police of breaching procurement rules by working with Palantir to award the US tech firm a £50 million contract for AI and data analysis services. Palantir sued Khan's office in the High Court in June after his deputy mayor refused to sign off on the deal, citing the company's "values and ethics." The case has intensified a parliamentary debate about the UK's reliance on foreign technology companies, including Palantir co-founded by Peter Thiel.
