Tether posts $1.5B Q2 profit as USDT supply and gold reserves grow

Tether has reported a $1.5 billion profit for the second quarter, according to its latest attestation. The reserves backing USDT, the world's largest stablecoin, include US Treasuries, repo agreements and more than 146 metric tons of gold. The supply of USDT also grew during the period.
