Sanchez pushes back on Schengen suspension calls: "This is not the time for division"
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez firmly rejected calls from several European leaders to suspend Spain from the Schengen zone over the Ceuta migration crisis. He stated that respecting European treaties and data "is not optional", while solidarity and empathy are. Sanchez also referenced migration figures from the Polish-Belarusian border to underline that the challenge is shared across the EU.
