Nearly 11,000 illegal migrants detained in Poland in first half of the year – up 68%

In the first half of the year, Polish Border Guard detained nearly 11,000 foreigners illegally staying in Poland, a 68% increase compared to the same period a year earlier. After Ukrainians, citizens of Colombia and Georgia were the most frequently detained. The sharp rise signals a significant escalation in illegal residency cases.
