Polish army fills border depots under Shield East programme

Poland's General Staff announced the intensive stocking of border storage depots as part of the National Deterrence and Defence Programme "Shield East." The goal is to ensure near-immediate combat readiness in the event of conflict. Polish planners say the pre-positioned supplies would allow Polish forces — not the adversary — to dictate the time and place of engagement.
