Justice Ministry: Presidential appointment of court assessors requires PM's countersignature
Judge Marta Kożuchowska-Warywoda, director of the Department of Personnel and Organisation of Common Courts at the Justice Ministry, stated that presidential appointments of court assessors require the Prime Minister's countersignature under the Constitution. The position could deepen the ongoing dispute between the president and the government over judicial appointments.
