Gold and real estate boost Vatican's finances

The Vatican announced results of managing Church assets, with Archbishop Giordano Piccinotti, head of APSA, stressing the priority is protecting and strengthening assets rather than maximising profit. Gains from gold holdings and real estate were the main drivers behind the improved financial position.
