Temu obstructed EU inspection — European Commission issues formal charges
The European Commission has sent a formal charge document to the owner of Chinese shopping platform Temu, accusing the company of obstructing an unannounced inspection into foreign subsidies at its Dublin headquarters in December last year. The company failed to hand over key documents requested by EU inspectors during the visit. It is the first formal step in what could lead to significant penalties under EU foreign subsidy rules.
