Poland eyes Ukraine's battle-tested alert app as model for national warning system

Security expert Tomasz Safjański said Poland's planned public alert app should closely follow Ukraine's model, which has been battle-tested, continuously improved over five years and developed on a low budget. The government is weighing whether to build its own system or purchase a licence. Safjański said the choice between building and buying is secondary to getting a reliable system in place quickly.
