Polish Health Ministry: hospitals cannot refuse treatment, patients are safe

Deputy Health Minister Tomasz Maciejewski told parliament on Friday that funding for drug programmes remains a priority for both the National Health Fund (NFZ) and the Ministry of Health. He was responding to reports of hospitals refusing treatment due to exhausted funding limits, and assured that existing procedures protect patients. He stressed that patients are safe.
