Polish competition watchdog to investigate possible price-fixing in cherry market

Poland's Ministry of Agriculture will notify the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) of a suspected price-fixing scheme in the cherry-buying market, Minister Stefan Krajewski announced on Friday. Suspicious price drops for cherries prompted the ministry to seek a regulatory investigation. UOKiK will examine whether buyers or intermediaries colluded to the detriment of orchard farmers.
