Polish MP Wojciech Król loses immunity — corruption charges now possible

Poland's Sejm voted to strip MP Wojciech Król of the Civic Coalition (KO) of his parliamentary immunity, opening the door for the European Public Prosecutor's Office to file corruption charges against him. However, the chamber refused to authorise his detention or pre-trial arrest. Shouts of "Thieves!" were heard in the chamber during the vote.
