Netflix and Amazon fight France in court over strict streaming rules
Netflix and Amazon Prime Video have each launched separate legal challenges before France's Conseil d'état, the country's highest administrative court, seeking to loosen French streaming regulations. Both services argue the current investment requirements for local film production are unsustainable. Meanwhile, Canal+ has agreed to invest more than $1.1 billion in French and European films over the next five years.
