Hundreds of ancient Aquiry civilization geoglyphs discovered beneath Amazon canopy

Scientists have discovered hundreds of monumental geometric earthworks known as geoglyphs in northern Brazil, hidden beneath the Amazon rainforest canopy. The structures belong to the Aquiry civilization and suggest it was far larger than researchers had previously believed. The find reshapes understanding of the scale of pre-Columbian settlement in the Amazon region.
