Mammoth remains found on dried-up Danube riverbed in Bulgaria

Well-preserved remains of a young woolly mammoth have been discovered on the dried-up bed of the Danube river in northeastern Bulgaria. The find is remarkable due to the excellent condition of the bones. The ongoing drought exposed sections of the riverbed that are normally submerged.
