Circle wins NYDFS trust charter adding state-level oversight to USDC

Circle Internet Financial has secured a limited-purpose trust charter from New York's NYDFS for its Circle Internet Trust Company, layering state oversight on top of the federal OCC national trust approval it had already received. The dual regulatory framework is designed to strengthen the credibility and oversight of its USDC stablecoin.
