Sanchez calls arrival of 40,000 migrants in Ceuta an "attack" on Spanish territory
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez condemned the sudden arrival of around 40,000 migrants from Morocco into the enclave of Ceuta as "an attack, a violation" of Spain's national territory. He blamed criminal trafficking networks for exploiting a recent court ruling that blocked the immediate return of migrants arriving by sea. He announced urgent measures to bring the situation under control.
