Infantino's top aide quits FIFA over plan to sell World Cup stakes

Carlos Cordeiro, one of FIFA president Gianni Infantino's closest aides, has resigned in protest over plans to sell stakes in the World Cup to outside investors to maximise revenues. Football federations worldwide have also voiced strong opposition to the scheme.
