34 dead and 49,000 migrants cross into Ceuta — Sanchez booed on arrival
Around 49,000 migrants crossed the border into Ceuta, a Spanish enclave in North Africa, in a single day in an uncontrolled surge. At least 34 people died. The Spanish government deployed the military to the area, and some migrants voluntarily returned to Morocco. Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez was booed and jeered by a crowd upon his arrival.
