Von der Leyen on Ceuta: "unacceptable images", Commission sends two commissioners

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said on X that images from Ceuta were "unacceptable" and that dangerous crossings must be stopped immediately. She tasked two commissioners with supporting efforts to bring the situation under control. The EU executive responded on Friday as tens of thousands of migrants flooded into the Spanish enclave.
