Polish parliament passes "lex charlatan" — Patient Rights Ombudsman gains new powers

Poland's Sejm has approved Senate amendments to the Patient Rights Act, commonly known as "lex charlatan." The law grants the Patient Rights Ombudsman new powers and now goes to the President for signature. The legislation aims to better protect patients from dishonest or fraudulent medical practices.
