FIFA denies selling football as senior Infantino advisor quits in protest
Carlos Cordeiro, a senior advisor to FIFA president Gianni Infantino, has resigned in protest at plans to consult on selling stakes in a World Cup commercial entity to private investors. The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has also joined the opposition to the proposals. FIFA denied it was "selling football" through the initiative.
