Circle K owner buys Żabka, pledges to keep the brand and current management

Canada's Alimentation Couche-Tard, owner of the Circle K chain, will launch a takeover bid for Polish convenience-store giant Żabka in August. CEO Alex Miller pledged that the Żabka brand will be retained and the chain will continue to operate independently under its existing management team. The deal marks one of the largest retail acquisitions in Polish market history.
