Kosiniak-Kamysz: F-16 pilot was authorised and ready to shoot down Russian missile over Poland
Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz told the Sejm that the operational commander and F-16 pilot were fully authorised and ready to shoot down a Russian missile that violated Polish airspace. He said the missile would have been destroyed immediately had it posed any threat to populated areas. He described the incident as proof that Polish defence procedures work effectively and without unnecessary bureaucracy.
