British-Azerbaijani man arrested in Cyprus for spying on UK airbase for Iran

Rashad Sultanov, 44, from Islington, north London, was arrested in Cyprus on 17 July on suspicion of conducting hostile surveillance of a British airbase and passing intelligence to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The Metropolitan Police announced the arrest on Friday. Sultanov remains in custody as extradition proceedings are under way.
