Danube drying up forces Hungary to shut down Paks nuclear plant — blackout risk
Record low water levels in the Danube River are forcing Hungary to shut down the Paks nuclear power plant for the first time in its history. The plant supplies roughly half of Hungary's electricity. Prime Minister Péter Magyar has called on the business sector to help avert an energy crisis.
