Slovakia limits pavement speed to 6 km/h from 2026 — for scooters and bikes, not pedestrians
From 1 January 2026, Slovakia has introduced a 6 km/h speed limit on pavements. Despite widespread media coverage suggesting otherwise, the rule targets users of scooters, bicycles, rollerblades and similar devices — not pedestrians or joggers. Poland currently has no similarly precise regulations on pavement speeds.
