Hotel fire and another tourist death — dark run of tragedies in the Canary Islands

A hotel room caught fire at a popular tourist resort on Gran Canaria. Separately, another holidaymaker died after spending their vacation on Lanzarote. A third near-tragedy was also narrowly avoided on Gran Canaria, this time involving a faulty filter at a hotel swimming pool.
