Iran launches drone attack on US base Ahmad al-Jaber in Kuwait

Iranian forces launched a nighttime drone attack targeting the Ahmad al-Jaber air base in Kuwait, striking hangars, communications systems and storage facilities. Tehran framed the attack as retaliation for civilian casualties caused by a prior US strike on Qeshm island in Iran. Diplomats are attempting to salvage ongoing peace talks amid the escalation.
