Dumping grass clippings in forests or roadsides can get you fined

Disposing of grass clippings by dumping them in forests, on roadsides or on municipal land is classified as a littering offence in Poland and can result on-the-spot fines. Grass clippings are considered green waste and must be composted or placed in designated bio-waste bins. With the mowing season in full swing, authorities are reminding residents of the rules.
