Circle K launches bid to take over Żabka convenience store chain

Canadian company Alimentation Couche-Tard, owner of the Circle K brand, intends to launch a full takeover bid for 100% of Żabka Group shares. The news triggered an immediate market reaction, with Żabka shares rising more than 10% on the Warsaw Stock Exchange on Friday. The financial terms of the proposed deal have not yet been disclosed.
